Oprah Winfrey remains steadfast in her defense of James Frey, the author of the best-selling (thanks largely to Oprah's promotion) A Million Little Pieces -- this despite The Smoking Gun's exposure of Frey's supposedly non-fiction book as one laced with distortions, omissions and outight invention. But who is under fire by the MSM (mainstream media) in this affair? Not, James Frey, but The Smoking Gun!Once again we see that practices like lying, plagarism, snobbery, egoism, sexual hijinks, grandiose lifestyles, etc. are only truly unethical if performed by conservatives! If you toe the line on key liberal issues, you get a pass from the likes of Larry King, 60 Minutes, the New York Times, and in this case, even the diva you deftly duped.
