Looking for a Christmas story that is very short, very funny and very wonderful as a read-aloud to your kids or grandkids or, for that matter, to your spouse, neighbor or patient dog? Then run, don't walk, to your public library and hope, hope, hope they have a copy of Christmas Every Day by William Dean Howells.
I read this last night and immediately popped it into my "Christmas Musts" category. Have fun.
And, by the way, if you can't find it at the library (which, I fear, is a probability), you can at least order it right here and have it for the 6th or 7th Day of Christmas. Don't fret; it will be worth the effort.
