A New (Old) Slew of Book Recommendations -- Volume Five

Okay, by now you know the drill. (But if you don't, the earlier posts with this same title give a brief explanation of how our Christmas book recommendation letter works. Each one also presents four of those recommendations. This particular entry gives another set from my non-fiction picks.

I'm hoping these entries help you in your upcoming Christmas shopping. After all, the readers on your Christmas list deserve quality, don't they?

And, of course, so do you. And, if you find these books fast enough, you can always read them before wrapping them up for the tree! Here's the next set...

5) The works of Christian apologist and founder of L’Abri, Francis Schaeffer. I’ve appreciated Schaeffer for over 30 years now but my appreciation for his work and example only grows. He is another regular re-read for me.

6) Abortion Rites: A Social History of Abortion in America by Marvin Olasky. The title tells you the subject of the book but it can’t convey its excellence and scope.

7) Flight by Chris Kraft. A fascinating insider’s look at the Mercury and Apollo space missions.

8) Heaven: Your Real Home by Joni Eareckson-Tada. I’ve been heralding this book for quite awhile in a variety of ways. No need to stop now. Please read this book!
